The Protocol
On January 15, 1985, the Protocol establishing the CENFIM - Center for Vocational Training of the Metallurgical and Metalworking Industry was signed by IEFP - Institute of Employment and Vocational Training, by AIMMAP - Association of Metallurgical Metalworking and Related Industries of Portugal and ANEME - National Association of Metallurgical and Electromechanical Companies and approved by the Secretary of State for Employment and Vocational Training.
On 6 March 1987, there was an adaptation to the Protocol of CENFIM, a body endowed with non-profit public legal personality with administrative and financial autonomy and its own assets, taking into account the provisions of article 10. of Decree-Law No. 165/85-Law on Training in Cooperation, this protocol was approved by Ordinance No. 529/87 of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, published in the Diário da República, I Series No. 145 of 27 June 1987, thus acquiring CENFIM as a legal entity.

SOCIAL ENTITIES
The organic structure of CENFIM - Center for Vocational Training of the Metallurgical and Metalworking Industry comprises:
The Board of Directors is made up of six members, two representing IEFP - Institute of Employment and Vocational Training and the others representing AIMMAP - Association of Metallurgical, Metalworking and Related Industries of Portugal and ANEME - National Association of Metallurgical and Electromechanical Enterprises.
The Technical Pedagogical Council comprises the Director and one representative of each grantor - IEFP - Institute of Employment and Vocational Training, AIMMAP - Association of Metallurgical Metalworking and Related Industries of Portugal and ANEME - National Association of Metallurgical and Electromechanical Companies.
The Supervisory Committee comprises one representative from each party - IEFP - Institute of Employment and Vocational Training, AIMMAP - Association of Metallurgical, Metalworking and Related Industries of Portugal and ANEME - National Association of Metallurgical and Electromechanical Companies. |

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The CENFIM Management System - Professional Training Centre for the Metallurgical and Metalworking Industry, is integrated and aims to serve our clients, trainees and companies, and all other interested parties, grantees, our employees, suppliers and the society. The quality of our services, the protection of the environment in which our Training Centres operate, the safety of our internal and external employees and the exercise of our praxis as a socially responsible entity based on sustainable development are fundamental conditions for Excellence of our activity, and our contribution to a healthy polis.
CENFIM's Management System allows us to act in a timely manner throughout our activity, and the Board and the Board of Directors can act accordingly to actively listen and exercise efficient and effective management.
We adopt the following process model of the CENFIM Management System, which is based on a computer development, fully conceived by CENFIM:

We promote Continuous Training for Workers, in the double perspective of improving their qualifications and maintaining their employability, as well as the organizational development of Companies, through interventions specifically aimed at SMEs, with a view to their modernization and increasing their productivity and competitiveness.
We guarantee the training and promotion of the professional insertion of young people, through the training developed in the Apprenticeship System, Initial Qualification, CET Technological Specialization Courses and CEF Youth Education and Training.
We provide Adult and Unemployed Education and Training courses.
We also promote the Training of Trainers.
CENFIM - Professional Vocational Training Centre of the Metallurgical and Metalworking Industry through its Centres of: Amarante, Arcos de Valdevez, Caldas da Rainha, Ermesinde, Lisboa, Marinha Grande, Oliveira de Azeméis, Peniche, Porto, Santarém, Sines com um Pólo em Grândola, Torres Vedras e Trofa.
CENFIM has been consolidating its innovative Training methodologies, orienting them towards project-based learning, enabling an individual or group response based on a flexible, autonomous and qualifying model.
