Summary

The destination place was Lahti, in Finland and the duration was 4 weeks. We counted with the kind cooperation from our long time Partner Salpaus Further Education.

The Participant group was composed of 4 Trainees from CENFIM Marinha Grande, Industrial Maintenance course. They had shopfloor training in the Finnish companies: SEW-EURODRIVE Oy; Kemppy; and Peikko Finland Oy.

The Trainees were much impressed as the Finnish companies were finely furnished of resources (material and personnel kind), and how proper organization in all the work stations helped the produtivity. They realised the value of the “silence” and the focus on the tasks, the continuous seeking of improvement, and the respect on the safety rules.

In the daily contact, the Participants knew a joyful people and they felt welcome.

They envisaged that this mobility experience would be very helpful for their future in regard of professional attitude.
