CENFIM´s training centre of Arcos de Valdevez began its activity within its own facilities in September, 2005, to meet the growing requirements of the enterprises of the metal and electromechanical sector in the region called Alto Minho.  It should be noted that from 1992 to 2005 those needs were supplied by CENFIM´s training centre in Trofa.

As we understood that it would only be possible to have competitive enterprises with the help of an efficient vocational training, a training centre had to be built specifically designed to serve enterprises (namely of equipment goods, electromechanical maintenance and alike) that  work in Arcos de Valdevez, Caminha, Monção, Paredes do Coura, Valença do Minho, Viana do Castelo and Vila Nova de Cerveira.
